Keep Breathing

In this piece of evolving, gently interactive documentary storytelling, Chris Goode looks at what can be found, said and shared in the space of a breath: nitrogen, oxygen and argon; love, laughter and longing; hopes, ideas, testimony.

Keep Breathing started from an invitation made via the internet to individuals all over the world, to speak to an audience of strangers. They could say anything, on any topic, provided it could be spoken in one breath. Through their offerings, a network gradually became revealed, connecting performer, authors and audience, locally and globally.

A continuation of Chris’s work exploring big ideas in intimate formats, Keep Breathing took its audiences on an emotional and intellectual journey that was beguiling, immersive, and full of the rhythms of life.

REVIEWS

“Chris Goode puts the oxygen back into the room and reminds us that we share the air in every breath we take in this offbeat… Goode is so disarming it feels as if you’ve been invited into somebody’s sitting room to share something precious.” The Guardian
